Ron Marshall, 65, passed away on April 13, 2017, at Piedmont Hospital after a brief illness with strep pneumonia.
He grew up in Pelham. He has had a home in Wolffork Valley for 25 years.
He is survived by Ruthanna Schofield, sisters, Julie (Robert) Gordon and Beth (John) McGivney, Brent and Susan Schofield, Garvin Aycock, Patrick and Sandy Aycock, Mitchell, Matthew, and Kelly Aycock.
He was a humble and gentle man loved by his family, friends and business associates. Ron touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Wolffork Baptist Church on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jimmy Grier. Family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron’s memory to Wolffork Baptist Church, 453 Wolffork Church Road, Rabun Gap, Georgia 30568.
