Mary Cody Robinette, 96, of the Warwoman Community of Clayton, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, in Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Marshall, North Carolina, on Nov. 24, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Cody and Grace Lewis Cody. She was the widow of Asher Robinette.
She had lived the greater part of her life in West Virginia and had lived in Rabun County for the past 35 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Asher Robinette, by her parents, Lloyd and Grace Cody, by sisters, Wilma Bleckley and Thelma Yates, and by a brother, Lester Cody.
She is survived by a daughter, Regina Bleckley (Bill) of Clayton.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Lee Krivsky. Burial was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery Rabun Gap.
The body was at Hunter Funeral Home, where family received friends from noon-1 p.m. The family was at their respective residences.
