Jane Marie Konopa Brown, 78, of Rabun Gap, passed away May 28, 2017.
Jane was born in Vesper, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Abdon and Marian Zellner Konopa.
Jane was a genuine, kind and selfless person who was always willing to give of her time and talents to those whom she could help. Jane was a faithful member of St. Helena Catholic Church where she was very active. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and embroidery. She had a special place in her heart for her poodles, but loved all animals.
In addition to her parents, her brother, Vernon Konopa, also preceded her in death.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Brown; her sister, Pat Due (Loren) of Caledonia, Illinois; her niece, Loriann Valenta (John) of Machesney Park, Illinois; and her nephew Steven Due (Barbara) of Durham, North Carolina.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at St. Helena Catholic Church, with Father Pedro Poloche officiating.
