Jack Milo Conley, 57, of Lawrenceville, born Dec. 25, 1959, in Franklin, North Carolina, passed away April 29, 2017.
He graduated from the University of North Georgia (formerly North Georgia College and State University) in 1982 with a degree criminal justice. Jack was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was employed by the Gwinnett County Police Department for 31 years, retiring as a lieutenant in 2013. Jack was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin D. Conley, his paternal grandparents, Jack and Hallie Conley; maternal grandparents Herschel and Georgia Cabe.
He is survived by his wife, Angela; daughters, Deanna Conley and Pamela Nelson; son-in-law, Zachary Nelson; mother and stepfather, Myrtis and Edward Dillard; siblings, Marty Conley, Janet Bryson, Steve Dillard, and Claude Dillard and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 3 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church, with Pastor Julie Boone officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel.
