Harold Eugene “Buddy” Ford, 68, of the Tiger community, passed away in Mountain Lakes Medical Center on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
He was born June 17, 1948, in Duluth to the late Donald D. Ford and Ramesia West Ford. He was self-employed in the woodworking industry, creating furniture plus works of art. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Vietnam War and was of the Baptist Faith.
Buddy is survived by a special companion, Robin Garland, of the home, one son, Patrick Ford (Hannah) of Statesboro, one daughter, Rebekah Folsom (Andy) of St. Louis, Missouri, and five grandchildren, Avery, Kearah, Maisie, Cora and Caitlin.
Funeral services were held at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m., with the Revs. Buddy McKay and Ken Franklin conducting the service. Burial followed at 2:30 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
The family received friends Sunday, Oct. 16, from 6-8 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The family was at home on Bethel Road, Tiger.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made, in his memory, to the American Legion Post 220 of Clayton, P.O. Box 403.
