Henry Michael ‘Mike’ Clark

Henry Michael “Mike” Clark, 68, of Lakemont, passed away Oct. 17, 2016, peacefully at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 13, 1947, the son of the late Edmund Henry and Dorothy Pauline Clark.

Mike was a past Master of Rabun Gap Lodge 265 in Clayton, member of The York Rite, Scottish Rite and a Shiner. He was past Commander of American Legion Post 220 and Past Patron of Rabun Chapter 164 Order of the Eastern Star. He was a Master Electrician and a member of IBEW electrical union. He loved to hunt, fish and just enjoyed the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, “Sonny” Edmund Henry Clark Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Jiles Clark of the home; two daughters, Dottie Clark, and April Clark; two brothers, Charles Mack Clark (Edith), Samuel Wayne Clark; two sisters, Bobbie Clark Darnell, Katrina Clark Williams (Doyle); one grandson, Noah Michael Garrett, and several nieces and nephews. 

The family received friends at Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at the Persimmon Church of God, with Pastor Teddy King and the Rev. Avery Lawrence officiating.

Interment will follow in the Taylor’s Chapel Cemetery with Masonic Rights, 21 gun salute provided by the American Legion, and flag presentation by the Boy Scouts.
