Melanie Welch Myers, 51, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Dillard, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 28, 2017, with her loving husband and parents at her side.
Melanie was a loving mother and she adored her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Melanie never took for granted her lifelong friends who were very special to her. She enjoyed traveling with them and maintaining this close relationship throughout her life.
Her mother, Carol Lovett, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her parents, Bobby and Annette Welch of Dillard; husband, Brian Lee Myers of Missouri City, Texas; three daughters, Haeli Templeton of Jackson, Wyoming, Ivee Templeton of Augusta, and Sierra Honea (Casey), of Dahlonega; two brothers, Bo Welch (Jennifer) of Otto, North Carolina, Andrew Welch (Jessica) of Dillard; one sister, Melissa McWirther (Bob) of Wytheville, Virginia; stepsisters, Lynn Shedd (Dennis), of Clarkesville, Kim Carpenter, of Dillard; three grandchildren, Sydney Honea, Amelia Honea and Eleanor Wolfe, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her beloved dogs, Bruiser and Maggie, will miss their mother.
The family will have a private service sometime in the future.
