Dean Havard Lovell, 47, of Tiger, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Mountain Lakes Medical Center.
Dean was born Oct. 17, 1969, to Doyce and Elizabeth Crump Lovell.
He was an artist and music enthusiast. He painted great pictures and made music in churches and other places. He was a Baptist by faith.
Dean was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Ivester and William Ivester, and by a special niece, Shelley Holcomb.
Dean is survived by his parents, Doyce Lovell of Homer and Sarah Ivester Lovell of Toccoa; one son, Joseph Lovell of Clayton; three daughters, Deanna Jackson of Conyers, Candice Lovell of Rising Fawn, and Sarah Lovell of Clayton; one brother, David Lovell of Clayton; three sisters, Susie Taylor of Lakemont, Donna Kilby of Clayton, and Wanda Smith of Tiger; five grandchildren, Tristan Hooper, Katheryn Buck, Skylar Jackson, Bo Henslee and Hayden Brown; and a special friend of the family, Tom Slowen of Tiger.
Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, from noon-2 p.m.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Mountain Grove Baptist Church in the Germany Community, with the Revs. Larry Cannon and Michael Rogers officiating. Cremation followed the service.
The family was at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and David Smith on Wolf Creek Road in Tiger.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made, in his memory, to Mountain Grove Baptist Church.
