Zephene Justus Giles

Zephene Justus Giles, 80, of Clayton, passed away Nov. 27, 2016. 

Zephene was born in Rabun County, the daughter of the late Henry A. Justus and the late Lorene Taylor Justus. 

She graduated from Rabun County High School. She worked for Burlington Industries in the human resources department for many years. 

Zephene was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She volunteered at the Rabun animal shelter because she loved animals so much. Another passion was the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Sambo” Giles; a grandson, Dalton Giles; one brother, Harvey Justus; one sister, Alene Stephens.

She is survived by one son, Stanley Giles of Mountain City; one daughter, Cindi Giles of Clayton; two brothers, Horace Justus (Freda) of Clayton; Hershel Justus (Ann) of Tuscon, Arizona; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Dickerson and Matthew Dickerson; six great-grandchildren, Nathan Dickerson, Ashlyn Dickerson, Brianna Dickerson, Isaiah Dickerson, Savannah Dickerson and Colby Dickerson.

The family will receive friend from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Beck Funeral Home, with the memorial service to follow in the Chapel of Beck Funeral Home at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Tim Hunnicutt officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 2565 Thompson Bridge Road Suite 114 Gainesville, Georgia 30501, in memory of Mrs. Zephene Giles.
