Marshal W. Hudson

Marshal W. Hudson, 87, of Gallatin, Tennessee, formerly of Belleview Florida, Rabun Gap, and Pontiac, Michigan, passed away Nov. 27, 2016.

Marshal was a faithful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He loved and was proud of his family. He enjoyed working around the house and yard and always took time to help a friend with a project. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany after World War II and retired from GM with 42 years of service.

He accepted Christ as his Savior and had a heart for missions and ministering to others. He was very friendly and had never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lou (Good) Hudson; parents, Oscar and Vera Hudson; brothers, David, Carol, Oscar Jr. and Fred Hudson; and sister, Irene Higginbotham. 

He is survived by his wife, Rose (Keener) Hudson; children, Martin (Marilyn) Hudson, Charlotte (Steve) Byrd, Margaret (Allan) Leeke; step-children, Jean (Tony) Mayo and Jerry Keener; grandchildren, Nathan (Robin), Andrew (Kendall), Lizz, and Stephen Hudson; Matthew and Jonathan Byrd; Josh (Lori), Jeremiah, Janae Leeke and Janessa (Ben) Hendrix; and eight great-grandsons; sisters, Gladys Perry and Betty Causey; sister-in- law, Lucy Hudson; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A life celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 at Crestview Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Crestview Funeral Home, 1623 Highway 109 North, Gallatin, Tennessee 37066.
