Susan Louise Darnell, 57, of Mountain City, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
She was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, on Sept. 10, 1959, to Albert Darnell and the late Pat Darnell. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat Darnell and by one brother, Lang Darnell.
She is survived by her father, Albert A. Darnell of Clarksburg, a brother, Lex Darnell of Greenville, South Carolina, three sisters, Leslie Darnell of Clayton, Landie Watts of Cornelia, and Lorraine Smith of Dillard. A special friend of the family, Robert Thomas of Clayton, and several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at 6 p.m. at the home of her sister, Leslie Darnell, on Theodore Street off of Black Rock Mountain Parkway in Mountain City. The family is at their respective residences.
