Frances Wilson Reed, 88, of the Satolah community, Clayton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 7, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Hubert L. Wilson and Doshie McCall Wilson and wife of the late Rev. Mack A. Reed.
Frances was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Her family always came first with her, and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed canning, and would preserve the produce that she grew in her garden. Frances was also known for her love of animals and loved spending time watching songbirds on her porch.
In addition to her husband and parents, one brother, Clarence Wilson, preceded her in death.
Her survivors include her son, Charles Reed (Jean), of Satolah; her daughters, Jewell Hedden (Ralph), of Highlands, North Carolina, Frieda Munger (John), of Satolah, Linda Wilson (Mike), of Satolah, and Brenda James (Tommy), of Scaly.
The family will receive friends today at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church from 10-11 a.m.
A funeral service will follow the visitation, held at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at 11 a.m., with the Revs. Roy Lowe, Zane Talley and Ralph Campbell officiating.
A committal service will follow the funeral at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Frances’ honor to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund, c/o Barbara Rice, 810 Timberlane Road, Clayton, Georgia 30525.
