Debra Cynthia Marchman (Ramey), 64, of Loveland, Colorado, loving Mother and Sister, passed away peacefully Monday, July 17, 2017.

Debra was born in Clayton on Dec. 29, 1952, to Hoyt and Barbara (McKay) Ramey. She married her high school sweetheart, Tim Marchman, on Jan. 6, 1973, and remained a godly wife throughout their marriage.

Debra received her bachelor's degree from Carson Newman University and then taught Kindergarten and first grade in public schools across North Georgia for over 30 years. Later, she received her master’s degree from West Georgia college. She blessed many children with her loving patience, unending compassion and heart of service. She was also very proud of the years she spent singing in the choir at Blackshear Place Baptist church.

Her family and friends will most miss Debra's beautiful smile and twinkling eyes. She was a beauty inside and out. She put others first and herself last, a true model of servanthood.

Debra is survived by her son, Michael Marchman (Janice), of Loveland, and adoring daughter Heather Marchman of Flowery Branch. She especially loved her grandchildren: Taylor Harned of Flowery Branch; Kyle Marchman of Loveland; Trista Warner of Gainesville; Katelyn Marchman of Loveland; and Theodore Marchman of Flowery Branch. She is also survived by her loving sisters and brothers Cannon (Ruth) Ramey of Clayton; Steve (Linda) Ramey of Clarkesville; Nan Holcomb of Clayton; and Lorie (Anthony) Thompson of Clayton. Debra had many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Barbara Ramey.

Service time is Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Church, Wiley.

We will always carry a special place in our hearts for Aspen House, Loveland, and particularly for Pathways Hospice, Fort Collins, Colorado, for the love, special care, and generosity provided Debra and her family. Debra loved her caregivers and was loved by them as well.
