Emily Faith Thompson, 6, of Clayton, passed away April 8, 2017. She was born Jan. 22, 2011, the daughter of Lisa Reichenbach Thompson and Jim Thompson.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Nathan and Trent Thompson, paternal grandparents, Ronald (Bonnie) Thompson Clayton, Lynda Dann Powder Springs, maternal grandparents, John E. Reichenbach, Clayton, Hilda Pruitt, Habersham, and great-grandmother Fannie Pruitt of Habersham. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Emily attended both Persimmon Baptist Church and Clayton Baptist Church, where she loved going to church, singing and shaking hands with everyone. She was very proud of her big brothers and looked up to them. Known for her contagious smile and perfect cartwheels, she loved big and everything was exciting.
She loved being a Rabun County Wildcats and had a love for cheerleading, basketball and soccer. Emily enjoyed going fishing with her daddy and getting her nails done with her mommy, especially the days when she was able to do both.
Donations may be made to First American Bank and Trust in Emily Thompson’s name.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, April 14, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Clayton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Blalock Cemetery. Following the interment service, there will be a dinner at the Persimmon Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
